Karla Reffold

An experienced business owner and leader, Karla has experience running businesses in recruitment, e-commerce and cybersecurity. With an international network in cybersecurity, Karla is passionate about values-led leadership and people development. Karla founded the international recruitment business, Beecher Madden in 2010 before overseeing the acquisition by Nicoll Curtin. As a Director for Nicoll Curtin, she expanded the company further before moving to the US to accelerate growth of the American business. In 2020 she joined Orpheus Cyber as COO. Orpheus are a threat intelligence company with a SAAS platform that helps organisations manage their own risk, and that of their third parties, with an easy to understand cyber risk score. Karla is a judge for The Cyber Security Awards, The National Cyber Awards and The American Cyber Awards. She is the host of industry interviews on the Cyber Talks media platform and the Zero Hour Podcast. She is also an experienced speaker, on the topic of cyber security and women in technology. Her views are often sought and published on this subject, as well as entrepreneurship. Karla was included in SC Magazine’s Top 50 Women in Security in 2019. She was a finalist at the Women of the Future awards in 2016, for Entrepreneur of the Year and a finalist in The Future Ladies Awards for Mentor of the Year in 2019. Under her leadership, Beecher Madden have won the Cyber Security Recruitment Company of the Year in 2019, and been shortlisted for a number of awards for their recruitment services.

Krishan Tank

Krishan brings with him 20+ years of information and cyber security, IT, governance, risk and compliance experience across retail banking, property management, payment processing, general insurance, investment banking and currently news/media. 

He is a trusted advisor, supporting start-up opportunities looking for guidance.  Krishan is a firm believer in enabling security to deliver business outcomes and prides himself in striking strong relationships with business stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Mike Jones

Mike As a former member of Anonymous has refocused his efforts to advise both public and private sector on how to better secure not only their infrastructure but also their social behaviours against compromise.

He has lead several Red Teams and has developed new ways to exploit organisations.

Shelton Newsham

Non Executive Director

CSO Online named Shelton as one of the UK’s Top 30 Chief Security Officers at the CSO30 awards 2020. Cyber Law Enforcement Individual of the Year 2020 at the National Cyber Awards and Digital Person of the Year 2020 by Computing magazine.

He is a subject matter expert in many disciplines including process improvement. He has also sat on working groups for the NCSC and NCA.

The National Matrix Challenge 2020 created by Shelton and his team delivered the highest impact for a police-led engagement project of this type to date with over 65,000 11 to 17yr old’s taking part.

With over 19 years’ experience in law enforcement, extensive experience in incident response, physical and digital security, critical incident management, intelligence assessments, threats to life, incident investigation.

Shelton is also director and founder of Newsham Business Solutions Ltd, enabling access to a specialist without cost becoming a barrier to security.

Keith Price

Keith has been working for 30 years in technology and security, across various industry sectors and in over 20 countries.

He has led teams in IT InfraOps, enterprise & security architecture, and security operations and he still enjoys the opportunity to roll up his sleeves and jump back in the trenches.

Keith is a firm believer in building a solid security culture within an organization that has the executive buy-in and governance and to that end, he focuses on the People and Processes in cyber.

He views cyber as a business-enabler; by aligning security to each customer risk profile, and through quantitative, data-driven analysis.”

30+ years experience in all facets of security, particularly cyber and enterprise security risk management, with a focus on ‘value-at-risk’.

Broad range of experience across several market sectors including extensive experience in Consulting and Defence, including time as the Group CISO at a FTSE100 enterprise. 

Also, Visiting Lecturer at The University of Manchester since 2016 providing leadership insights to students on Cyber Security MSc course.
